Update SEI Amsterdam
The construction of the new complex Student Experience International Amsterdam is up and running and on our website we will keep you informed about the latest developments.
In our previous update we announced that they were working on the second floor. Currently they are already working on the fourth floor. Here the concrete facades are installed and the HSB facades will follow next week. The solar panels are also installed on the mockup. These panels are mounted on the facade so that you actually create a facade that converts sunlight into energy. In the coming week, a start will also be made on drilling the source of WKO installation. In a WKO installation, groundwater in the deeper soil is used as an energy buffer. This allows the building to be cooled in the summer and heated in the winter.
Does that all sound pretty sustainable to you? That's correct, because SEI Amsterdam is built according to the guidelines of the BREEAM excellent quality mark. This sustainability quality mark is awarded to sustainable buildings with minimal environmental impact.
SEI Amsterdam is expected to open her doors in the 2nd half of 2020. Would you like to keep up to date with the construction of SEI Amsterdam? You can do so here!
