Student Experience starts building 520 student apartments
Today Student Experience started the construction of 520 student apartments at the Joan Muyskenweg in Amsterdam. Led by Alderperson Ivens of the municipality of Amsterdam the first pile has driven. AmstelHome, as the complex is called, is expected to open its doors in the fourth quarter of 2015. The rental process starts in early February on the website of Student Experience, www.studentexperience.nl.
The first pile has driven by Ivens, Alderperson of the city of Amsterdam, Reuten, member of the executive committee of district East of the city of Amsterdam, Verweij and Mungra of Verweij Mungra Vastgoed, initiators of AmstelHome. Alderperson Ivens: "Students are important to the city. They provide a vibrant and dynamic surrounding. To develop and participate, students need good and affordable housing. This college has the ambition to build 2,500 additional homes for young professionals and 8,000 for students in the period 2014-2018.The 520 student apartments of AmstelHome highly contribute to this ambition. Johan Verweij, director of Verweij Mungra Vastgoed: "We are very pleased with the start of the construction of our second leading students complex. In 1,5 months Ravel Residence opens its doors with 800 student apartments and in the last quarter of this year we expect to welcome the first students at AmstelHome. The demand for student housing in Amsterdam is very large and at this moment we have over 350 students reported to be interested in a apartment at AmstelHome. Verweij Mungra Property and RAVAM
Initiator Verweij Mungra Vastgoed works for the project AmstelHome with investment partner RAVAM. RAVAM is also the investment partner in Ravel Residence, a student residence of 800 student apartments at the Zuidas in Amsterdam. Ravel Residence is also an initiative of Verweij Mungra Vastgoed.
RAVAM is a private investor, founded by a number of Dutch family offices, with a specific focus on student housing. AmstelHome is the most recent investment of RAVAM. RAVAM now has a portfolio of 1,300 residences. RAVAM is interested to further expand its position in the market for student housing in the coming years.
AmstelHome is a modern student residence consisting of 520 independent student apartments with private kitchen and bathroom located at a fantastic location by the Amstel in Amsterdam. All apartments have a floor area of 21 m². The location offers various facilities, such as a grand café with a terrace, a trendy lounge and a laundry room where you can do your own laundry. You can rent the private dining room to dine with your friends or family or to throw a dinner party. There are study rooms for you to study by yourself or in a group. There is a sports field on the roof for the more physically active students. The Student Experience team is daily present at the client suppot desk. Various medical facilities are offered, a general practitioner, dentist and physiotherapist are connected to student complex.
