Ravel Residence nominated for Zuiderkerk award
Every year the municipality of Amsterdam hands out the Zuiderkerk award. This is a award for the architect and the developer of the best housing project.
The jury of the Zuiderkerk award consists of an annually changing team of three external experts in the field of architure and urban development. The jury of the Zuiderkerk award 2015 consists of: Madeleine Maaskant (chairman), architect and director of the Academy of Architecture of Amsterdam; Marlies Buurman, Architecture historian and cultural programmer and Jörgen Harin, Architect from FORM, winner of the Zuiderkerk price 2014.
The members of the jury have nominated the following three housing projects for 2015:

Architect: Ronald Janssen Architecten, Donald Osborne Architect
Developer: Buro Amsterdam
Architect: OeverZaaijer architectuur en stedebouw
Developer: Verweij Mungra Vastgoed, Ravam
The general criteria that apply when rating the projects are: architecture, urban building, material, program and sustainability. With emphasis the jury is invited to decide which aspects are most important for housing in Amsterdam.
Every year this award is handed out on a different location during a festive evening: The prices 2015. This year the event is held on Thursday December 10th in VEN, the old KPN-building in Sloterdijk. Responsible alderman Van der Burg (Spatial order and land management) and Ivens (Building and living) are present during this evening, where a debate regarding urban development in Amsterdam will be held amongst the attendees.
