A dynamic project at a wonderful place in Amsterdam ".
Gert Wim Bos, Director COD: "With the launch of this urban project, we contribute to a new piece of city in Amsterdam North. The vision that we have developed a few years ago to make at a creatively way student- and starters apartments on the NDSM-site, we give physical shape. This is pioneering at its best. "
Allard van Spaandonk, Director Netherlands Bouwinvest: "Once again we are adding a substantial number of new apartments in the medium-priced segment at the Amsterdam market. With estimated 10,000 new residents each year the demand for such housing is very large. The creative and industrial character of the former NSDM Yard will appeal to a large audience. "
Johan Verweij, Director of Student Experience: "By adding these 402 student apartments on the current portfolio we can offer our customers apartments in Amsterdam South, East and soon we also welcome residents at the fantastic NDSM (Amsterdam North)".
The project is located on the NDSM site in Amsterdam. The NDSM yard is a location with a rich and unique history. NDSM means literally Netherlands Dock and Shipbuilding Company and has been active in that form until 1979. Now it is a place that vibrates! The area, which is characterized by an industrial look with a multitude of functions, transforms into a place to live, work, relax and enjoy with the theme "Mix to the Max". Two towers of 60 meters high and the use of robust materials characterize the special industrial architecture; a draft of architect OeverZaaijer.
