Ojalá 

Who says Madrid doesn't have a beach? At Ojalá, the basement floor is covered with sand and they make your cocktail at the beach bar. You’ll find this hip restaurant in the Malasaña district, one of the trendiest areas of Madrid. Enjoy the delicious brunch dishes until late in the afternoon. No room inside? The sunny terrace is a great place to sit too. Don’t forget to pay a visit to the bathroom in the basement, even this little space is special. 

Salmon Guru 

The most extraordinary cocktail bar in Madrid is Salmon Guru. The bar is ranked as the 22nd best bar in the world and such an accolade is well-deserved. Drinks are innovative and served with amazing presentations. Every cocktail is a little party of itself. Not only do they look beautiful, but they taste delicious too. Be prepared to stand in line when you arrive, but don’t worry: the bar is worth it! 

Rosi La Loca 

Fancy a nutty evening out? Book a table at Rosi La Loca and you’ll feel like Alice in Wonderland. The decoration of the restaurant will put a smile on your face instantly. The restaurant's ceiling looks like a field of big yellow and pink flowers. The dishes are creative, surprising, and served to guarantee a wow effect. Reserve your table in time: you’ll love walking past the line of people waiting. 

Maricastaña 

You’ll find Maricastaña close to the Gran Via in Chueca. This place is known for its tasty meat skewers and friendly service. Hungry? From Monday until Friday between 13:00 and 16:00, you order the Menu del Dia for only € 12.50.   

Vacaciones 

Another hotspot in the cozy Malasaña neighborhood is Vacaciones. This place is a holiday-themed cocktail bar and café that offers great food. Order a Strawberry Mojito, a Moscow Passion, or an Umaji Sunrise, close your eyes and enjoy. This is the place for a long brunch on Saturday or Sunday. Turn brunch into boozy brunch with a Mimosa or Bloody Mary for only € 5. 

Frida 

In one of the most bustling areas of the city, you'll find Frida. The place is cozily furnished with cheerful palm tree wallpaper, the Frida logo, and round lamps. This is your place to be for breakfast, brunch, and dinner. No tapas, but nicely prepared one-person dishes. This makes Frida a perfect place for a cozy brunch with friends.

Bel Mondo 

Don't feel like tapas? Visit Italian restaurant Bel Mondo. The menu includes delicious ravioli, truffle pasta, or burrata. Fun fact: Almost everyone who works here is Italian, so you’ll get a real Italian experience. The restaurant is picture-perfect. The mirror wall with retro lamps surely looks amazing in your TikTok videos. Make your reservation a week in advance, to be sure of your spot.

Zenith 

As you might’ve already noticed, the Malasaña district is the place to be if you’re looking for hipster cafes and excellent street food. Zenith is such a place. On the menu, you'll find classic dishes such as French Toast, Banana Bread, and Eggs Benedict. But you can also try something special like the Dulce de Leche pancakes, Açaí and Shakshuka.
