Renting the perfect studio
How does that work?

Furnished or unfurnished, in street art heaven NDSM or within walking distance from the Zuidas business district, for a semester or for your entire student life… We’ve got studios to fit your every need. From 21m2 to 45m2, all of our studios offer a private bathroom and kitchen and enough space to fit your bed, a desk and space to lounge.

It’s the perfect home base for students from all backgrounds. Our automated draw system offers equal chances for every student and signing up is easy. Just follow the steps below!

Step by step explanation about...

How to become a Student Experience resident.

Step 1Register

To be eligible for a studio, register first. This allows you to respond to available studios straight away when they become available.

You’ll get an e-mail notification whenever we have a studio available that matches your preferences.

Good to know:

  • You are eligible for a studio if you are 16 or older and are enrolled at an educational institution.
  • Equal chances for everyone: that's our goal. Are you registering with several e-mail addresses to increase your chances of getting a studio? Then you will be removed from the system automatically.

Step 2Apply for a studio

Once you have registered, you can immediately respond to the available studios. The studio advertisement contains more information about the studio and the deadline for response.
After you have responded to a studio, you can find it in 'my response overview' in the service portal. Once the deadline is over, the studio will disappear from your response overview.

Step 3Automated draw

When the reaction time has expired, a candidate will be selected by means of an automatic draw. You will receive an e-mail if (and only when) you are selected.

Step 4Plan your interview

After you’ve been selected, you can plan an appointment for an interview on location or via Skype/Facetime/phone. We’ll explain what we expect from residents and what you can expect from us. It’s also the perfect time for you to ask us all of your questions.

Because of the sharpened COVID-19 measures, we prefer to do the introductory meeting digitally. Would you still like to visit? We kindly ask you to come alone and wear a face mask during the tour.

Step 5Accept the studio

At the latest 24 hours after the introductory meeting, you must indicate online whether you want to accept or decline the studio. Accepting can be done by signing the contract online.

Step 6Check-in

On the first day of your contract you are welcomed at the reception by the duty manager and accompanied to your studio. Together you’ll check that everything is in order and you’ll receive the key to the studio.

What I like about Student Experience is that it is the perfect mix between finding friendships and building a network for the future.

Amsterdam NDSM

Everyone at Student Experience is very open and social. Together you share a really big home because of all the extra areas in the building. You will have the best time here!

Amsterdam NDSM

I really like living here because you can easily make friends. Especially when you are on the basketball court, in the gym or in the game corner.

Amsterdam Minervahaven

Imagine living at the heart of innovation, business and trends but still having the carefree attitude and freedom of a student. This is the prestige Student Experience Amsterdam Zuidas provides us. And I wish I could just live here beyond my student life!

Amsterdam Zuidas

The facilities we share like pool and darts make it very lively. But the own living space means you can focus when needed. And you can make a peanut butter sandwich at 3AM without disturbing anyone. ;)

Amsterdam NDSM

The duty managers who look after the building are really nice. For example when I request a repair and book a time slot, they are always very punctual and try to repair it very well. Good service!

Amsterdam Zuidas

I love that my bike is always safe and dry throughout the entire year. This is why I chose Student Experience.

Amsterdam NDSM

My neighbors became my best friends. I also got a lot of inspiration from the building which I live in, I even made an artbook about it.

Amsterdam Zuidas

NDSM is super cool because it’s close to the water. It’s also the perfect balance between having privacy in your own space and being surrounded by other students to socialize with.

Amsterdam NDSM

I asked myself the other day, what the difference was between living in Student Experience and heaven. Only thing I could come up with was that there's a free gym in Student Experience, and probably not in heaven."

Amsterdam Minervahaven

The nice thing about living at Student Experience is that you can easily make contact with other students through the communal areas and activities that are organized here.
